TRIANGLE MILESTONES OVER THE YEARS
The company began in 1923 when the O'Toole family started providing basic electrical services. As quickly as 1925 Triangle was already one of the top 10 electrical contractors in the area. In the 1930s Triangle was committed to industrial and institutional projects including our first major project, the motherhouse for the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, located in Monroe Michigan. In the 1940s Triangle entrenched itself in the industrial market as Detroit's premier electrical contractor. After the war, the demand for cars and other manufactured goods seemed almost limitless and Detroit witnessed an era of growth never seen before. Among the most important of Triangle's customers was Dodge Truck and Briggs Manufacturing which at that time manufactured Chryslers cars. Throughout the 1950s Triangle became involved with some of the largest steel mills and chemical plants, as well as the major retooling of automotive plants. It was in 1950 that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Roy Martin Senior first joined Triangle Electric. Prior to his service in the Korean War, Martin was a truck driver and was beginning his electrical apprenticeship.

He was assigned to the Merchant Mill project at Rotary Electric Steel and received his journeyman's license in July of 1957. In 1958 he was promoted to Estimator. In 1956 former Triangle President, Jimmie R. Palmer, joined the company as an Apprentice Electrician. He received his license in August 1959 and was promoted to Estimator in 1966. He quickly became one of the company's best estimators. Founder Emma J. O'Toole died in 1959.

Triangle expanded outside of Michigan in 1962 with the opening of a branch office in Canton, Ohio. In 1968 Owen M. "Jack" O'Toole died. The O'Toole estate sold to the new owner and then President Joseph W. Albright Sr. Joseph W. Albright Jr. became the new Vice President and Assistant Secretary Treasurer and Donald A McFadden was named Vice President of Engineering and Estimating. In 1970 Joseph W. Albright Sr. died and Joseph W. Albright Jr. became President and Secretary. In 1972 Triangle expanded into Ann Arbor with the purchase of the General Electric Shop. Triangle entered the commercial market in the 70s and began to work on high rise buildings. Triangle was also servicing clients in the health industry including major hospital developments such as the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital complex in Ann Arbor, and in the 1980s the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, the Detroit Macomb Hospital Association and four major ambulatory care facilities. In the 1980s Joseph W. Albright Jr. was named Chief Executive Officer and Secretary. Donald A. McFadden became President. Jimmie R. Palmer was named Vice President of Sales.
