TRIANGLE
- MILESTONES OVER THE YEARS continued
In
December 1983 Triangle was purchased by Roy Martin Sr. and Jimmie R. Palmer.
That year Roy Martin Jr. joined Triangle as Treasurer. By 1988, even with
the recession of the 80s, Triangle emerged as one of the nation's top
dozen electrical contractors. The 1990s had seen continual growth for
Triangle Electric with expansion into new markets including the Cobo Hall
expansion, Royal Oak Ice Arena, Compuware Ice Arena, Milan Prison and
the Internal Revenue Service Building. Triangle also emerged a leader
in the automotive and steel industries. Triangle's involvement with steel
mills dates back to the beginning. Triangle has been stationed at Rouge
Steel, Great Lakes Steel and Double Eagle. In the automotive industry
Triangle spent the 1990s at the new Chrysler Tech Center in Auburn Hills,
at the Ford Motor Scientific Research Lab in Dearborn and several facilities
for General Motors. The continuous need for quality and state-of-the-art-equipment
has enabled Triangle to be the leader of electrical contractors for the
automotive industry. In 1994 Triangle named Roy Martin Jr. as President
and Chief Operating Officer and hired Robert E. Dacey as Manager of Estimating
/Engineering. Quality is what the clients wanted in the 90s. And, with
Triangle Electric, quality is what they will always get.
In
1995 Triangle began pursuing the ISO9001 certification. Since Triangle
was already setting these standards into place it was only natural to
continue the commitment. Today a high quality management team continues
to lead Triangle into next century with Roy Martin Sr. as Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer, Roy Martin Jr. as President and Chief Operating
Officer, Earl G. Riske as Vice President of Operations, Robert E. Dacey
as Vice President of Estimating, Nick Aravas as Vice President of Engineering
and Neil Whiteley as Director of Finance. In the future Triangle Electric
Company will be seeing new prosperity and growth. We will expand into
new industries and new areas. Our state-of-the-art-equipment, highly trained
employees and commitment to safety and quality will keep us as a recognized
leader in the electrical contracting industry.
