With our expertise in the steel industry, Triangle Electric Company has become a much sought-after electrical contractor among large steel companies in southeast Michigan. Triangle Electric Company has worked on the rebuilding of blast furnaces at Zug Island as well as the installation of the electrical portion of a new hot dip galvanizing line, and following the Rouge Complex Powerhouse explosion in 1999, Triangle pulled forces with many other companies and worked around the clock to have power restored within one week. INDUSTRIAL PROJECT SHOWCASE Installation of the Hot Dip Galvanizer at National Steel, Great Lakes Division In February of 2000 Triangle Electric began work for the NKK of Japan, parent company to National Steel, Great Lakes Division in Ecorse, Michigan. Triangle's talented workforce installed the electrical portion of a new hot dip galvanizing line.
Time was of the essence as Triangle was given an accelerated seven day a week schedule to complete the job by mid-April of 2000, over two months time. Triangle utilized more than 200 employees in two weeks. Over 10,000 feet of cable tray was installed in excess of 100 miles of cable was pulled. Three hundred spark plugs were installed in the furnace, which is over 10 stories high. Power and lighting were installed in several pulpits which house the monitoring systems for control of the line.
